Music in our Schools Month Competition

Every year, students in our district have the opportunity to participate in our Annual Music In Our Schools Month Shirt Design Competition.  This year we had over 50 entries.  The winner was Jake Cole and 8th grader from Ryan Middle School.

Join Our Campaign

We need your help.  Given the financial crisis in Alaska, music education is often viewed as expendable.  We need to ensure that our students continue to receive a well rounded education which includes all core classes as defined by ESSA(Elementary and Secondary Schools Act).  This new law ensures that music is just as important as all other subjects.   We need community support to fight this battle.  Please look for our table at your local school music programs.  Fill out at postcard and let us know how you can help.
